Hinton's new multi-purpose facility is a great example of a miniature sports arena with all the best in seating, lighting, and amenities. The arena dome with locker rooms, folding stage, wrestling room, and hospitality center total almost 17,000 square feet. A high ceiling lobby with public restrooms and concession stand total over 4,000 square feet joining both the new and the existing gymnasium of 19,257 square feet. Both the new construction and the renovated space totaled 40,309 square feet at a cost of $3 million. The professional arena seating is very spacious and comfortable at 1,400 seats. Project completed in January of 2007.

This Multi-purpose center is 124' feet in diameter and includes 12' foot stemwall to give the building its height of 37 feet. It is a full gymnasium built in Avalon, Texas and is complete with full size basketball court, four locker rooms, a front foyer concession, rest-rooms and seating for approximately 720 spectators. The cost of this facility is estimated to be $85.00 per square foot or $1.2 million. The dome project began in January of 2002 and was completed in November of 2003 with a completion cost of $50,000 below budget, and a completion date two months earlier than estimated.
